I missed the ETSU game because we were cruising in the Bahamas (a G cheerleader was on the same boat!). So I still haven’t seen the game to see everything that happened. What little I read made me very wary of how the team would react this game.
And they came out strong!
James Dickey
JD grabbed 12 boards again and went 4-7 from the field. Add 7 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, 2 turnovers for a great game!
Big Mo
Mo had another huge game inside, going 5-5 from the field, but missed both his freethrows. 2 rebounds, 1 turnover.
Isaiah Miller
Isaiah continued his onslaught with 8-17 FG and 2-2 FT. Going 0-4 from 3PT range wasn’t good, but when you add 6 steals, 5 assists, 1 block, & 2 turnovers … it comes out to a great game.
Kaleb Hunter
Kaleb made up for some lost ground last night, going 6-10 from the field (2-4 3PT) and 1-1 FT. 6 rebounds & 4 steals show that Kaleb is looking like the same kid from early in the season before the injury.
Michael Hueitt Jr
In only 10 minutes of play, Michael shot 4-6 (3-5 3PT) and went 2-2 from the freethrow line. Add 1 rebound, 1 assist, 2 steals, & 1 turnover for a great game! That’s a lot of punch packed into a few minutes.
Angelo Allegri
Gelo went 3-8 from the field (1-4 3PT), and 4-4 FT. 1 rebound, 1 assist, 3 turnovers.
Malik Massey
Malik was off his game when shooting (0-4 FG, 0-2 3PT), but was perfect from the line with 4-4 FT. Add 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and only 1 turnover … and you make up for the missed shots.
Keyshaun Langley
Key had a great game with only 14 minutes: 2-2 FG (1-1 3PT), 1 rebound, 2 assists, 1 steal, & 1 turnover.
Bas Leyte
Played 5 minutes and went 1-2 FG with 1 rebound.
Kobe Langley
In 2 minutes, went 0-2 from beyond the arc.
Khyre Thompson – Did not play
Ryan Tankelewicz – Did not play.
Kyrin Galloway – Did not play (injured).
Game Summary
This was the game we needed in a bounce back from the ETSU loss. The guys were solid and withheld a Furman comeback with great defense and shots. We went to their house and out-played them in most categories.

Next up is an away game at Citadel Wednesday night … and that’s a team that can hit some shots. It will be interesting to see how our defense stacks up against their three-point shooters.
